Basing

Basing

The figures I've done so far (to represent the 10 deep by 50 or more wide style of unit - Dutch style)

16 musketeers (2 rows of four on each side of the pike)
14 Pike + 2 with flags
Officer + drummer

Based on 120mm x 40mm base.

I've suggested that we use the following:

Foot
120mm x 30mm base for Swedish style foot units.

120mm x 40mm base for Dutch style foot units

120mm x 80mm base for tercios.

Cavalry
120mm x 40mm base with figures in single rank (plus musketeers where appropriate) for 'Chargers'

120mm x 40mm base with figures in two ranks for 'Trotters'

120mm x 60mm for caracoles.

Artillery
60mm x 40mm base - probably two guns.

For the 'trotters' I was thinking of two blocks of 4 by 2 with an officer and standard between them.
